Mother of SEVEN Gets in Fitness Model Shape and Competes with WBFF

SEVEN….yes that’s right…. SEVEN kids. This is how many the amazing Stephannie has! Add to that the fact that she also runs her own Chiropractor business and is as busy as they come, yet she decided that she was going to commit to competing at the WBFF Central Championships 2012. She is 100% proof that where there is a will, there is a way!! I had the opportunity to work with Stephannie via the Hitch Fit Online Competition Prep program, and she also worked one on one with Hitch Fit Transformer and WBFF Pro Figure athlete Tionna Kuhnhoff. Tionna and I were so proud of her when she stepped on stage this past May!! Prepare to be inspired by the incredible Stephannie!!

Stephannie’s Story:
“We all have challenges in life, I believe it’s how you handle them that matters. We are who we are today because of our past. Just a brief history on me…I have always been an athlete playing volleyball, basketball, track, and softball in High School then being recruited to play volleyball and basketball at the college level. I have put myself through Chiropractic College, started my own Chiropracitc business, given birth 6 times, one of which was unviable @ 22 weeks gestation-the hardest thing I have ever gone through. I was somewhat depressed, but knew I had to stay strong and be a good mother to our other children. After the birth of our 7th child, I decided it was time to change the way I felt and looked. I had gained some weight and was stuck @ 150-155 pounds. I used some great nutritional products that helped me lose 10 pounds and 15 inches in a short period of time, which was amazing and life changing, as now I knew there was hope but I also knew I was not where I wanted to be. I had always wanted to compete in fitness and decided I wasn’t getting any younger….so I contacted Micah and Diana for coaching, as I knew everything I had ever done, required a coach to do it well! I joined their online program and also was introduced to Tionna Kuhnhoff for 1 on 1 personal training, we met once a week. We set goals for me and a date for me to get on stage! We decided on May 12, 2012—WBFF Central Championship in Kansas City. I started the online program in February 2012. I had only 12 weeks to get ready for stage! It was very challenging, but rewarding! My husband and children were very supportive throughout the 12 weeks. The hardest part was cooking for them and eating from my strict menu. I also did not want my challenge to interfere with my valuable time with my children. Therefore, my am cardio was done before they were out of bed, weight workouts were done on my lunch hour at work, and pm cardio was either done with my children or after they were in bed. I of course continued to go to their school functions and athletic events. The only thing that changed was the way my body was transforming! :) I felt I was very well prepared for my first competition, even though I did not know what to expect and doubted at times if I would be ready to step on stage. Micah, Diana and Tionna of course knew what they were doing and I trusted they would let me know if they didn’t think I was ready for stage.
Competition day I was very nervous at first, but after the morning judging, it was so much fun! I competed in the fitness diva category, in which I placed in the top 5 in the over 35 category. I was happy to place in the top 5, but knew I can do better! (My competitiveness coming out again!) I will be on stage again and look forward to being a WBFF Pro! Thank you to Micah, Diana and Tionna for all your help! Also, thanks to all the GREAT athletes I met during the clinics, at the gym and at the competition! Your tips and support really helped get me through the tough days! Of course a BIG thanks to my husband and children for believing in me and helping me push through my challenges! I know each and everyone of us is capable of doing anything we set our mind to. The best advice I can give is to set a goal, do your best, and don’t stop until you reach your goal! The sky truly is the limit! You will be amazed how strong your will power is, not to mention how great you feel when you reach your goal! Being organized and on a schedule really helps also! I love helping people, so if anyone has any questions…please message me and I promise I will get back to you! ”
