Nutrition and Exercise Plan to Change Your Body

Nutrition and Exercise Plan to Change Your Body Helps this Client Achieve Fitness Goals!

I’m so pleased to share Kristin’s story today! Like many people, she wanted to see results and changes in her body. With all the content that’s out there online and in magazines, as far as what to eat and how to train to get results, she thought for sure that it was something she could figure out on her own. A year after she discovered Hitch Fit, she was frustrated because nothing was coming together, despite the loads of nutrition advice that was out there, things weren’t changing. She knew that she needed a PLAN, and someone to help her bring everything together so that she could really start making progress forward! So she finally signed up for the Lose Weight Feel Great plan. We set the goal of shedding around 15 pounds and getting to a body fat of 17% during that 12 week time frame. And Kristin nailed it! The key to her success? Bringing everything together, her nutrition, her strength training workouts and her cardio so that she could achieve the physical changes in her body! She’s now working towards even greater fitness goals, so you haven’t seen the last of her. Awesome job Kristin!

Kristin’s Story:

“It took me a year to decide to do this program. I came across it on the internet and knew it would be great for me, but I thought “I can just do it myself. I can find a program and get nutrition advice online and in fitness magazines. I just have to follow it, that’s all.”

I told myself that if in a year I didn’t succeed I would buy a Hitch Fit program. And surprise, I didn’t see any results on my own. I did three month programs that were great. I did a 5×5 program that certainly increased my strength (but that’s all). I found and implemented tons of nutrition advice. But it just didn’t come together. The results I wanted and needed just didn’t happen.  I looked and felt overweight, I was irritable and grumpy all the time, I felt sluggish and tired.

I kept wishing over and over that I could email the authors of all the articles and ask them why it wasn’t working.  What am I doing wrong? I really should have just asked myself why I hadn’t signed up for Hitch Fit yet.

So one year rolled around and I finally did!

I am so pleased and happy and couldn’t have spent my money on anything better. I mean who wouldn’t pay for their health and happiness and well being? Why did I even hesitate – let alone wait and struggle for a year?

I was intimidated at first too. It is quite a commitment if you want to succeed – and I did want to. It really ended up not being as hard as I had worried it would be. But I was fully committed and that made all the difference. I didn’t ever allow myself to waiver or wonder if I really wanted to do a workout or if I really couldn’t get away with cheating. There was no skipping or cheating! That was my commitment.

I was shocked at how hard you have to work to actually see the results I have always wanted to see. Ah-hah moment – that’s why none of my other attempts worked. I absolutely was not working hard enough or being consistent enough. Being able to email and ask Diana about my progress was invaluable. At 30 days and even 60 days I just really didn’t think I was seeing much for results. I felt discouraged that my numbers (weight and measurements) really weren’t changing all that drastically – not as much as I would have expected – but being able to ask her and have her say “you are doing great just keep going”, really made me keep going. It gave me the confidence that I was doing what I was supposed to. I really needed to know that.

I am amazed at all I learned about myself and my body. I had always thought my fitness was “fine”, “acceptable”, “good enough”, “better then a lot of peoples”. But now I know how poor it really was. I can do so much more now but I feel like it is what I should have always been able to do and I just want to push further and be better. My standards are higher and I see that they can and should be. This has shown me that I can do more and I can aim higher. It isn’t unattainable. The hard work is hard but it’s totally doable! And it is more then worth it. I am so much happier in everything I do now. I am so much more proud of myself and confident. That just makes your whole life better.

I think the hardest part of changing my lifestyle and making fitness and nutrition a high priority is social situations. I am not even faced with that many of them, compared to a lot of people, but they still bring forth the most problems. What to order at a restaurant, or to put on my plate at a family dinner, how to fit in a workout when I’m out of town or am committed to something else, and just having to explain why you are doing things differently. Most people respect my goals and my choices and are supportive. My husband has been amazingly supportive. Whenever he has had something to eat that is mouth wateringly delicious or just something I have always loved but can’t fit into my diet right now, he makes a grimace and says “oh, this is not good at all, I think it might have gone stale or something.” I love that he does that. It makes me smile and actually takes away any feelings of wanting it cause I am just filled with a feeling of amusement instead.

All in all, this has been the best thing I have ever done for myself. I feel better and happier then I ever have. I am in better shape then I think I ever have been (in only three months!). Commitment to a diet and fitness plan for three months is such a short time in the whole scheme of things. It went by so fast but brought forth so much. Any small social sacrifices or craving sacrifices or working out even when its dark and cold sacrifices, are really not sacrifices at all when you look at the big picture. I would rather make a few hard choices, and feel like I do now, then make an easy choice, to sit on the couch and eat a yummy piece of bread (I just love bread!), but feel like I used to.  This is better!

And I am not done! Like I said, my standards are higher now. I want more. Before I even finished this program I purchased the bikini model program. I will be doing some maintenance for the rest of this month and then I will be starting it in the New Year. I can’t wait! I am once again intimidated and a little nervous (how hard is this one going to be??) but I am excited (how much better can I be??).  This experience has been positive and inspirational enough that even my husband has now decided to sign up!”
