Weight Loss Plan for Women Client Loses 64 pounds
Weight Loss Plan for Women client Stacy loses 64 pounds and competes with the WBFF!
Stacy has an amazing transformations story, you may have heard of her before as her journey with Hitch Fit has been two fold. Stacy first came to me to train back in 2009. She was over 190 pounds at that point in time and was ready for some serious change. She went through a 12 week weight loss plan for women and shed 40 pounds of fat, but Stacy’s journey wasn’t finished yet. She still had a dream of competing in a Figure competition, she knew that this would mean kicking things into an even higher gear. She maintained her initial weight loss for over a year and then decided that the WBFF Central US Championships which we hosted in Kansas City in May 2011 would be her chance to finally make that dream a reality! Stacy began training about 16 weeks prior to the show, she pushed herself, stayed focused and motivated, and I saw her change dramatically over that period of time. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, as she proved to herself that she could knock down any barriers that stood in her way. I saw her confidence grow, and I saw the pride in her eyes as she saw what she was capable of achieving. That day in May when Stacy stepped on stage at the WBFF stage, she had shed an additional 25 pounds and looked absolutely amazing. I was so proud to see her fulfill this dream and to have been a part of this incredible journey. I know this is not going to be her last show too, she has inspired and motivated so many others throughout this process and she’s now hooked on the world of competition. Congrats Stacy, you are amazing!!

Stacy’s Story:
“I graduated from nursing school and passed the State Board Exam becoming a Registered Nurse in January 2008. When I stepped on the scale, I was devastated. I was over 200 lbs, had heartburn, panic attacks and hated who I saw in the mirror. Over the next year, I tried losing the weight on my own. I have always loved exercising and did karate and yoga regularly. My diet was the problem. I had the attitude that I exercised daily, so I could eat whatever I wanted. Obviously, that was not working out for me.
When January 2009 rolled around and I was still the same weight, I knew I needed to make some drastic changes. I have always loved reading the transformation and Amateur of the Week stories on bodybuilding.com and dreamed of being a figure competitor. I knew I needed the help from a professional. I did a search on bodybuilding.com for trainers in the Kansas City area and Diana Chaloux was first on the list. With the support and encouragement of my husband, I contacted her, met with her and started training with her the next week. My life has never been the same.
She totally redid my diet and taught me how to eat again. I trained one on one with her twice a week at her gym, Hitch Fit, and she gave me workouts to do at home the rest of the week for the next six months. It was not easy and I had a lot of bad habits to work through. In the end, I lost 40 lbs and 10% body fat, and learned so much along the way. I discovered my intolerance for gluten and dairy that I’m sure I have had my whole life but just got used to the uncomfortable feelings. I found my love for running again. My eyes were opened to my fear of failure, how I resort to self-sabotage when I get scared of success and my addiction with food and emotional eating. This transformation became more than just losing weight. My entire life was being transformed.
My original goal, when I started with Diana, was not only to lose weight but to become an athlete. My Third Degree Black Belt test was coming in June 2010 and I wanted this to be the best test yet! I needed a bigger goal to get me through the next year. I felt so good training and eating well. I didn’t want to stop. I wanted to take it to the next level! In October 2009, Diana and I set a new goal for me. I would compete in the Spring of 2010. For the next couple of months, I was on my own to maintain a balanced lifestyle of diet and exercise. I must say, I was a little nervous to be away from Diana, but she had given me the tools, all I had to do was put them to use. In January 2010, I started a competition prep program with Diana. Again, we trained one on one, twice a week, and then I did workouts on my own at home that she had written. After four weeks of comp prep, I grew very anxious about the whole process and backed out. I couldn’t get my mind right about it. It was a huge let down for me. Diana supported me fully and just shifted our focus from the competition back to the Black Belt test. In June 2010, I received my Third Degree Black Belt. It was definitely the best test in my 11 years of training. There wasn’t anything they threw at me that I couldn’t handle. I felt amazing!
Diana and I once again parted ways and I thought that would be the end of my competition career. I couldn’t shake it, though. It bothered me that I had not reached a goal I had set for myself. In September 2010, the fire started to burn again about competing. I couldn’t ignore it. After many talks with my husband, he encouraged me to go for it. I contacted Diana and I told her I was ready. Spring 2011 was going to be my debut as a figure competitor. In January 2011, I started training with Diana again, but this time I was a different person. I had been learning over the past two years about my physical and mental strengths and about pushing myself to finding my “edge”. I had been applying all the lessons I had been taught. I was healthier and stronger than before. I finally gave myself over to the process. I trusted Diana and trusted myself as well. I stuck to the diet and training 100% and in May 2011, I stepped on stage. It was the proudest moment of my life.
A few weeks after the competition, I turned 35 years old. I feel better at 35 then I ever did in my 20’s. I wake up with no alarm, full of energy and ready to get my day started. I never have heartburn and the panic attacks are gone. I love who I see when I look in the mirror.”
Stacy fulfills a dream by stepping on stage at the WBFF Central US Championships 2011!
