Calling all Volunteers: Cheer Hundreds of KC Runners through 31 Mile Race!
A half marathon is a long distance to run. A marathon is, obviously, even longer. But The North Face Endurance Challenge has truly kicked it up a notch and will host this year’s ultramarathon in Kansas City, the North Face Endurance Challenge.
An ultramarathon, which is 50K (or 31 miles in length), is one of the most challenging races in the running world. Think about it: participants competing in the ultramarathon are basically running the distance from Kansas City, Missouri to Lawrence, Kansas!! Now that’s impressive! Participants train for months, if not years, to get through the ultramarathon. But once they finish the race, it is a sight to see. Inspiring. Motivating. Unbelievable!!
This year, The North Face Endurance Challenge is looking for volunteers not only to cheer runners past the finish line, but to help provide runners with necessities such as water, Gatorade and nonstop support.
Looking to get inspired? Want to give back to the community? Sign up to become a North Face Endurance Challenge volunteer! Volunteers will receive a free The North Face race crew t-shirt, a free ticket to a post-race meal and satisfaction of helping participants achieve their goals.
What are you going to do this year to give back to the Kansas City health community? This could be it!!
