What Motivates You to Work Out?
For some of us, articles like Shape’s 15 Fitness Muses to Inspire Your Workout is a really swift kick to the tush. For others, we are inspired to push our bodies to the limits with stories about individuals such as Zach Sobiech. There are days we just don’t have the desire to get up and exercise, or even make wise choices about what to eat. The best idea of the day is sometimes a bowl of Lucky Charms and an episode of your favorite TV show. Get up and find yourself some motivation!
Movement
This may sound like the most simplistic idea in the universe, but it is a great way to change your mindset and get your blood pumping. As the great Woody Allen said – “80 % of success is showing up”. With that in mind, simply getting up and choosing to walk a specified distance is a great motivational move. Take a walk around the block, or out to the car and back!

When you just aren’t feeling the desire to step into your workout clothes and get your sweat on, take a moment to ponder the body you are working towards. Why did you start this exercise kick in the first place? Think about what your goals are, look at pictures of the you you’d like to be and find out the energy you needed has just arrived.
Stress Reliever
Since workouts enhance dopamine production, stress relief is a fantastic motivator to exercise. After a frustrating day, take out your nerves on the treadmill, sidewalk or local gym and push away those negative feelings with a hard-core workout.

Family Reunion or Vacation
That dreaded event that happens every year. You have to see your family, and you just know they will say something about the fact that you haven’t changed a bit. Wouldn’t you like to fix that? Wake up in the morning and head straight to your running shoes with the thought that you will look AMAZING at your next big event.
