15 Minute Workouts

Hitch Fit’s 15 Minute Workouts!

Got a quick 15 minutes? Don’t waste it in front of the TV! Pick up some dumb bells, crank out some crunches or go on a brisk jog around the neighborhood. You can easily burn 200 calories in just 15 minutes with some of these awesome Hitch Fit 15 minute workouts!

1. 15-minute run
The great thing about a 15-minute run is that it’s long enough to energize you, but it’s short enough that you may not sweat (got a party to go to after a 15-minute run? No need to shower!!). In 15-minutes, a 125 pound woman can burn up to 141 calories. Those who weigh 150 pounds can burn up to 200! And that’s if you’re just doing a 6 mile per hour pace. Hop on the treadmill or take a loop around the neighborhood—we promise you’ll feel better afterward!!

2. 15-minute dumbbell workouts
If your dumbbells are starting to collect dust, why not dedicate 15 minutes of your day to a few arm exercises? Doing at least 15 minutes of arm exercises every day, especially when you’re doing none now, can help you tone up! Try this super simple 15-minute dumb bell arm workout:

Standing V raises – 20 reps
Shoulder press – 15 reps
Rotating triceps kickback – 15 reps per arm
Bicep curls – 15 reps per arm

Repeat these exercises with no breaks in between for exactly 15 minutes. See how many rounds you can get through! Next week, challenge yourself to get through an extra half round!!

3. 15-minute abs
It’s true—a 6-pack is made in the kitchen, not lying on a mat. But if you’re eating healthy and exercising regularly, you can still get that 6-pack you’ve always wanted by incorporating some belly workouts! You can try any ab routine for 15 minutes—no sweat! Try stability ball pelvic crunches, bicycles, double crunches, elbow planks, Russian twists and more. Try 10 sets of 25 crunches—your abs will be burning!

4. 15-minute total body
Believe it or not, you can perform a total body workout in just 15 minutes—just make sure to up the intensity and weight when you do!! Try these four moves to burn some fat and charge your metabolism: squats with dumb bells, chest press, bicep curls and lunges.

5. 15-minute cardio
Remember—you can get a cardio workout from more than just a run! Try out some plyometric moves like speed skaters, squat jumps, high knees and jumping jacks. And don’t forget—you can also get an awesome 15-minute cardio workout from jumping rope and working with the medicine ball…all from the comfort of your own home!

So what do you say? Have an extra 15 minutes right now? Log off your computer and lace up your tennis shoes—it’s time to burn some calories with these 15 minute workouts from Hitch Fit!
