WBFF Male Fitness Model Dana Wagner
Name: Dana Wagner
Age : 37 years old
Height: 6’0”
Weight: 172 lbs.
I was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania but later moved at the age of 7 to a small town called Madison just outside of Atlanta, Ga. This is where i grew up and graduated high school. I always had a goal of becoming one of those guys you see in the magazines and cover models. I knew this wasnt an easy task as I would have to put the work into it to receive any results.I began reading fitness magazines and learning as much as i could to workout on my own and begin the building process. I was a very skinny guy growing up and was really shy and above all i wasnt happy with the way i looked. As the process began, i was starting to see a difference and feeling good about myself. but just when that happened i had some personal issues that eliminated my progress. A couple of years went by and i felt the hunger starting to come back. I wanted to prove to myself I could do what i set out to do. I began training like a beast, and soon became addicted to living healthier and becoming what i set out to be a hardbody. I had obtained the physique I wanted and people began to see the change in and out of the gym. This led me to my next quest. giving back the passion i grew to love. My love for fitness. I became a personal trainer with ISSA , and just recently obtain my master certification this past january. I have been a trainer for 8 years now and love every minute of it. It wasnt until last year i found Micah and Diana and began talking with Micah about competing and which type of competition to do. Micah told me about the Wbff and what they stood for and the categories they had to offer an athlete. I became very hooked on the idea and later did online training with Micah and went on to compete in the 2011 WBFF U.S. Central Championships in Kansas City, Mo. It was an experience i’ll never forget and has gotten me hooked on competing. I am looking forward to this years show since it will be epic times two from last year.
Where do you live: I live in Madison, Ga.
*What are your athletic achievements and competition history?
My athletic achievements have stemmed from becoming a master fitness trainer, becoming a fitness model, to doing multiple photoshoots. I recently placed 3rd on an online physique competition and have recently been featured on www.inspirationalbodies.com.Most of all the biggest accomplishment is that i get to see my clients change and have an impact on them by giving them the inspiration and motivation they seek to make their journey a reality.
*What or who inspires you to compete?
my family and friends as well as my clients are what give me the inspiration to stay driven and focused. Above and foremost i am inspired by my hunger for success and fulfillment in this organization and to reach my goal of getting my procard and taking my oppotunities to a whole new level.
*What excites you most about competing with the WBFF?
Just having the ability to be amongst the best of the best in this industry and having a chance to shine and be seen and to be able to show my hard work to those wanting to get fit and have a reason to be motivated.
What are your future goals?
My fure goals are to first earn my pro staus and continue to give back to those my passion and dedication to helping others, and to become a sponsored athlete and use my pro staus to the best of my ability to help the WBFF become an even bigger and better organization.
*What obstacles have you overcome to achieve your goals?
I have had road blocks along the way like everyone else. I had endured a pulled ligament in my right hand that put me out of commission for a few weeks. I have had some personal things that put my training on hold the usual stress with everyday living. I lost motivation for a short period, and gave up, but after taking a look back at my journey I knew I couldn’t just give up. I worked to hard to get where i’m at. But i’m have been 100 percent focused and driven with one goal in mind….. challenging myself to be the best i can be for myself. This past years training was and has been one that I owe alot of thanks to and couldn’t have been made possible without the help of my younger brother Justin. He has pushed me every step of the way since my training began last june for this years show. I just want to say thanks to him.
