Fitness Inspiration
One Simple Phrase To Keep You Going

If You Start Something – Finish It
This one matra can mean the difference between getting in shape, and getting your body to its healthiest, happiest place. It can mean the difference between eating less sugar, and eating a completely nutritious diet 24/7. If you aren’t going to finish what you’ve set out to do, there isn’t any reason to start in the first place! You’ll only find yourself disappointed, and just as far from your goals as before. Don’t settle for a consistent battle with your goals – get to that finish line! Follow the steps below to make sure you’re finishing what you’re starting.
1. Get Motivated
Many of us start out on our journey to accomplish goals with an incredibly optimistic view, but peter out somewhere about the time it gets a little bit too hard. Use all the tools you have to stay motivated to finish your goals – whether it’s to eat healthy, lift weights, or simply get outside and take a walk. These little goals are extremely important; not only so that your tasks can be accomplished, but so that you can continue to accomplish new and varied goals with the completion of each. Read motivational blogs, listen to uplifting music, and tell yourself positive facts about yourself. Don’t lose heart!
2. Get Inspired
Find what makes you happy and use that as the inspiration to complete your goals. Love playing Super Mario 3? Get into the Mario world by tackling a fitness routine that includes jumps, dead lifts, and stretches. Even better – use the tactic of attacking one mushroom (or in your case, task) at a time at work. Take each piece of paper in that stack on the table as it comes. And, if by chance, you can knock out three in a row – bonus points!
3. Get Healthy
Even if your goal is to get healthy, you can’t get there without jumping right in. Don’t just trade out your sweet and salty snacks for fruits and veggies; take your diet as a whole piece of the puzzle and work nutritious foods into every corner. This will not only help you stay healthier longer, it will help your body realize what it feels like to be healthy – and when you cave and eat junk, your body will be telling you exactly what it thinks of that!
4. Get Up
It really doesn’t matter what your goal is, simply the act of moving in the direction of the task ahead will help you finish what you’ve started. Work project looming in the distance? Get up and work on it. Want to become a fitness model? Get up and exercise! Want to be happy? Get up and do something you love. Use your physical presence to help your physical, mental, or emotional goals become a reality.
