Fitness Goals Secret
The Secret to Making Your Fitness Goals Stick

There are some surprisingly simple ways to make your fitness goals stick! This simple, enjoyable task, involves getting your fitness and diet changes to become habits that won’t change over time. What is it?
OTHER PEOPLE
Human being are social creatures! You love hanging out with friends over dinner or a cup of coffee; why not enjoy their company over a walk or outdoor hike? Bonding with friends over exercise and diet goals is a surefire way to get those habits to stick. Though it will take time, (find a source that says a habit takes 21 days to form), it’s simple and fun!
Friends don’t let friends….
…renege on their fitness goals!
Accountability is a necessary aspect of accomplishing any goal, and fitness is no exception! The great thing about your accountability in fitness, is that it’s fun! Exercising with a group, or sticking to your diet plans, is so much easier and fun with friends. Instead of relying on a paid fitness instructor to remind you of your goals, keep your friends up to date with your plans, and let them ask you how things are going over the course of regular conversation. Or, better yet, tell them to join you on your journey! It will not only help you keep up, but will give your friendship another dimension.
Social Drinking
Most people are “social drinkers”, right? You get a group of your friends together, and bam! – you’re all having a blast sipping mojitos. You don’t sit at home and guzzle mojitos one after the other all alone, right? Let your diet plans be the same. Splurges are going to happen, but if you limit them to when you are socially active, you are far more likely to avoid splurging on an every day basis. Choose that weekly girls night out, or hanging out at the club with the guys, as your time to splurge on caloric intake.
Friendly Competition
When friends go for a run or drum up a game of basketball, there is a slight air of competition, isn’t there? It’s not overwhelming, and it’s not something you’ll be devastated over if you lose – but it’s there. Use that to your advantage and play along! Push yourself to be the best every time. You’ll not only be pushing your body, but your friends’ as well, which, in turn, will make you work harder to beat them.
Choose Wisely
No matter how many friends you choose to include in your fitness goals, choose friends that will support your endeavors and encourage you along the way, even if they don’t actively participate in achieving the goals. Having a positive support group is essential to maintaining your fitness plan, and succeeding at it!
