Soon To Be Police Officer Finds Faith And Fitness
What an Amazing Journey it was to work with Jordan. I remember chatting with him day one and seeing a young man that had got derailed with many positive things in his life, from his faith to his health. I knew at that moment I would do what it took to get him back to where I know he needed to be and get him to a place he has never seen. He was in school still finishing up his last year and then his goal was to become a police officer which meant going through the police academy . So another goal was to be in the very best fitness shape he could. Well lets just say that day one he did 15-20 pushups, now he can do 115 pushups and lead his class, he did 60 situps in 60 seconds and ran a 7 minute mile. All best times for him!! You see transformation is much more than simply looking great in an after picture, or even being able to preform better but those are amazing additions. Internally you get more healthy, your confidence, energy and focus increase and in Jordans situation his Faith become stronger and mentally you get much stronger. I am proud of you my friend.

Jordan Korycki – Testimony
Usually, when an individual finds him or herself in a bad place in life, he or she may ask, “How did I end up here?” “How did I lose control over my life?” “How could I give up on myself and let myself get to this point?” Well, not me, I knew exactly how I got to this point. Before I decided to take back control over my life, I was living a life that most any other early 20 year old would, partying, drinking, eating whatever I pleased; I was living for the world. I do not remember a lot from my past years because many of those years were spent behind a bottle. It wasn’t until a recent relationship had ended for me to finally realize just how bad of a place I had entrapped myself in. With that being said, I had realized that I had let my partying; drinking, and food habits define my life. Not only did I begin to realize the above, I also began to realize the lack of spiritual life that I had and how distant I had become from the church. I had allowed myself to be content in the darkness of this world and had not looked for any way out, until I found my faith and found Hitch Fit.
After the relationship, as stated above, had ended, I felt devastated and turned towards the things that held me in darkness and contentment for so long, the drinking, the partying, and the bad eating habits. As a result, this just led to more darkness. It wasn’t until one day that my mother encouraged me to get back into the church and to give Hitch Fit a try so, I did. I remember the week or two before Hitch Fit, I was driving home from work and a song came on called “Different” by Micah Tyler and I remember just breaking down and weeping and surrendering my life to Christ at that moment. I bring this up because I told my mother about this song and told her to check it out; it was at that moment that my mother told me to look at the artist’s first name. I did understand why she told me to look at the artist’s first name until she told me that the artist and my, soon to be, trainer had the exact same name. At that moment I just began to laugh and feel a sense of joy because I did not think that this was coincidental, I mean what are the odds that the artist of the song that I surrendered my life to and the name of my, soon to be, trainer matched. I felt that this was a sign from God letting me know that God still has me and He has not given up on me even when I had given up on Him and that He was going to use this time at Hitch Fit to strengthen me
I remember the first day that I showed up at Hitch Fit for my consultation, nervous, intimidated, you name it! I think it is safe to say that anyone who meets Micah, for the first time, probably felt a little intimidated as well, lol. Now, on the day of the consultation, little did I know that I would actually be evaluated on my current physical ability, and little did I know that I was a lot more out of shape than I had thought! I remember leaving Hitch Fit that day wondering, “What did I get myself into?” “Can I actually do this?” “Will I give up, or will I attack this with everything I got?” Well, as you could of guessed, I chose to go at it with my all. As time progressed, I began to see results, I began to see that Micah ACTUALLY knew what he was talking about, and I began to see that Hitch Fit was more than just a place of transformation; it was a place of healing for me. As I progressed, Micah and I began to talk about our faith and, more times than not, the whole session’s conversation was spent discussing faith. Again, as stated above, I do not believe that it was a coincidence that he was my trainer.
Throughout my transformation, there were times where I found myself in a “rut,” or times where I just lacked motivation; however, with the encouragement from Micah, I was able to shake off whatever was going on in my life and refocused. I can say that my time with Hitch Fit was a crucial part in my healing process after reaching my salvation. I believe that I was led to Hitch Fit to meet Micah, as well as the other trainers at Hitch Fit, and became a part of a family, a fitness family. A family that assists one another and that encourages you to keep pushing through even when times get rough, a family that silences any hurt or doubt that you might be feeling, a family who helps you back on your feel after you fail, a family who helped me when I had given up all hope.
I thank Micah and the Hitch Fit family for equipping me with the knowledge and tools to have success over my life again, for giving me the motivation to push through the hard times to reach my goals, and for encouraging me to continue to progress in my faith. I always told Micah that I felt that my faith and the gym complimented one another; I felt that when I was doing well in one of the two areas then I would find success in the other area as well.
To anyone who is ready to take back control of their life, the time to do it is now because tomorrow is not always guaranteed. “Obstacles are only seen when we take our eyes off of our goals,” and I was tired of seeing obstacles so I turned my attention towards my goals and found success through Hitch Fit! Although, the transformation process is complete, I do not look at this as the end; I look at the final day of transformation as the first day of a new beginning with new goals.
