Mandy White
37 Years old
5′ 4.5″ Tall and 116 Lbs
I am a mommy of 2 beautiful children and a stepmom to 2 teenagers.  I am a wife and business owner with my husband of almost 10 years.  I love my life and spending time with my family!

*Where do you live?

Las Vegas, Nevada
I was born and raised in South Louisiana and I love that I am half Cajun!! I moved to Las Vegas 11 years ago and love it here.

*What Category are you competing in?

Diva Bikini Model and Diva Fitness Model

*What are your athletic achievements and competition history?

I have always been involved in team sports and athletics.  I started playing baseball at age 6 and played softball from age 8 -18. I also took 15 years of dance classes.  I competed for the first time in Nov 2011 in Fitness American and placed 4th out of 37 beautiful women in my class.  I fell in love with the fitness world and am taking my fitness and modeling goals to the next level.  I am so excited to be competing with the WBFF now!!

*What or who inspires you to compete?

I have 2 very close friends that compete with the WBFF and one is a Fitness Pro. I admire her strength and determination so much and she inspires me daily to work harder and be the best athlete I can be.  Also, my family is so encouraging and supportive that they inspire me to push harder and raise the bar for myself.  I get so inspired when my 8 year old daughter says “Mommy your stomach is so flat!” or “Mommy I want to be healthier like you”.  Makes me work harder!!

*What excites you most about competing with the WBFF?

First of all I am honored to be able to compete with the incredible athletes of the WBFF!!!  I like that the WBFF enforces Natural athletes and is a very positive organization.  There are so many doors that have been opened through the WBFF for modeling and nutritional companies, as well as mutual respect and admiration among the athletes. Everyone in the WBFF is so supportive towards one another and it is so nice to have the women almost be like a sisterhood… so refreshing!!

*What are your future goals?

I plan on competing at Worlds with the WBFF in Toronto and get my personal training certification in the next couple of months.  I absolutely LOVE helping others become fit and lead healthier lives, so I share Body by Vi with my friends and family and I love seeing the transformations!!  I am happy that I have inspired so many other moms to create more balance with eating healthy and working out too.  I also have been working on a little clean eating cookbook that I would love to finish by the end of the year that has some Cajun and Cuban flare to it. I hope to inspire more south Louisiana friends to eat healthier.. I know how hard it is down south with the best food in the world!!  I love modeling and I’m very excited for the opportunities to do fitness modeling and more swimwear as well as work at fitness expos and conventions and I hope to become a spokesmodel for a big nutrition company.

*What obstacles have you overcome to achieve your goals (what’s your story?)

I have always thought I was in ok shape even after 2 kids, but I knew I should exercise more and eat healthier.  A couple of years ago I had a 2 girlfriends compete in national shows and I followed their journeys.  I was so inspired and admired their level of discipline and dedication.  I never thought I had that in me even though I was really intrigued by it all… especially the diet!  Last summer there was a big competition in Las Vegas and some friends working it came and hung out at the pool the day after the show.  A few competitors that I had never met came up to me and asked how I placed in the show…. I explained that I didn’t compete and they were confused. They all said to me that they thought for sure I had and that if I could be in that good of shape without trying that I should definitely compete.  I didn’t think that but kept replaying their words many times in my head, still doubting that I could do the diet part, especially being a mom, business owner, and wife!! I love to cook and eat with my 2 kids and hubby so this would be interesting!! My husband and I travel 10 weeks in the fall and take clients out to tons of nice restaurants. Was I ready to give up all that yummy food and alcohol???
About a month after the pool conversations I ran into a friend and WBFF Pro and spent time inquiring about competing.  She explained to me that it’s very much a mental thing and she thought I could do it with her coaching.  Next thing I knew I was signed up for my first competition which was only going to be 2 1/2 months later!! My WBFF Pro friend was such an important part of my new journey and I would not be in the fitness and world of competing without her.  I placed 4th in Bikini out of 37 girls in my class… I was ecstatic and hooked!!
