I had 4 babies, and after each one, I found it harder and harder to get back in to the gym. I was out of shape, eating unhealthy and tired. I needed someone/something to motivate me. After hearing a friend talk about his experience at Hitchfit with such enthusiasm, I decided to give it a try.
Micah gave me a diet and workout plan. He really pushed me during my one on one workouts and helped me with a lot of positive feedback. Our workouts were never the same and he was able to maximize my results with his incredible knowledge about diet and fitness. Every 2 weeks, he weighted and measured me, so I was able to see first hand the results. I had more energy and felt less bloated after the first couple weeks. I was amazed at how much food I was eating and continued to lose inches. After a month, I started getting compliments from friends and people started to inquire about my workout regime. By the end of the program I look and feel much better! This year is my 40th birthday and I can honestly say, thanks to Micah, I look and feel better than I did at 21.
For our new year’s resolution my wife and I decided that we would get a personal trainer and get in shape. I have tried personal training before and had lackluster results. So to say the least I was very skeptical. When I met with Micah for our first session you could see all of his previous clients before and after photos and I was shocked to learn that many of these incredible changes were achieved in 12 week sessions. Micah sat down and took the time to explain how his program works and stressed the importance of making a full commitment with both diet and exercise. I decided to follow his advice. The first workout was a real eye opener. I couldn’t complete 3 sets of 15 pushups. Micah pushes you during your workouts to maximize your time in the gym but not to the point where you feel discouraged. He has an uncanny ability to know what your limit is and push you right to the edge. He takes the time to explain the benefits of certain types of exercise and which muscle groups they target. Every workout with Micah was different which makes it interesting and never boring. It also gave me different exercises to incorporate when I worked out on my own. Every 2 weeks Micah weighs you and takes body fat measurements. It was great to see that all of the hard work was paying off but also gave you the extra motivation to achieve your goals by the next weigh in. He would know if you weren’t eating right or getting your workouts in and would give you great personal feedback and encouragement.
If you are married I highly recommend training with your spouse. It makes it easier to make the right choices in terms of nutrition if you are both on the same page. My wife and I remain committed to eating healthy and getting our workouts in every week. If we can do it with four children under the age of 7 than I would think anyone can. Make the commitment and you will see the results first hand. The greatest thing of all is that you can take this knowledge with you long after your training sessions have ended and continue to feel great and look great. Micah has truly changed our lives for the better.
